As part of her leveled-up health services for residents, Marikina 1st District Rep. Maan Teodoro recently organized a medical mission at NHA 1 in Barangay Nangka.
Aside from free consultation, the medical mission also provided free medicines, dentures, and eyeglasses for residents. The medical mission also accommodated requests for free laboratory diagnostic tests.
“Magpatingin nang libre at kumuha ng libreng gamot—dahil walang dapat mapag-iwanan pagdating sa kalusugan,” Teodoro said in a Facebook post.
The lawmaker and the local government unit recently conducted medical missions in 16 barangays, providing free consultation to her constituents, particularly children, mothers, and senior citizens.
Meanwhile, Teodoro organized a separate free anti-rabies vaccination for pets in Barangay Nangka to protect pets and their owners against the dangers of rabies.
“Bahagi ng ating libreng bakuna ay bigyang diin at palakasin ang responsible pet ownership at panatilihing ligtas ang ating furbabies at pet owners laban sa rabies,” she said.
In line with the local government’s broader efforts to promote animal welfare in Marikina, it offers free daily anti-rabies vaccination for pets in all barangays and pet registration to ensure both pets’ and residents’ health and safety.
By registering their pets with the City Veterinary Office (CVO), Teodoro said residents can get access to free anti-rabies vaccinations provided by the local government.
She said pet owners are given vaccination cards where they can record their fur babies’ vaccination schedules, ensuring they receive timely shots against rabies.
