The Philippine Coffee Expo 2025, themed “Charting New Frontiers,” is set to bring together coffee industry leaders, experts, and enthusiasts from May 9 to 11 at SPACE, One Ayala, Makati.
Organized by the Philippine Coffee Guild (PCG), the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Department of Agriculture (DA), and the Barista Coffee Academy Asia, the annual event continues its mission to elevate the country’s coffee industry.
The Philippine Coffee Expo has cemented itself as a premier event for the industry, offering an interactive space for farmers, producers, roasters, retailers, and consumers. This year’s expo will serve as the culminating event for the Philippine Coffee Quality Competition (PCQC)—a national contest that identifies and promotes the best coffee beans in the country while recognizing the farmers who produce them.
PCG Chairman Dr. Emmanuel Garcia emphasized the expo’s role in fostering industry development.
“This year’s Philippine Coffee Expo builds on the success of previous editions by bringing the community together in an even more dynamic and collaborative space. With a wider range of exhibitors, engaging discussions with local and international experts, and expanded business matching opportunities, attendees can look forward to deeper connections and greater exposure to the best of Philippine coffee.”
The event will feature over 100 coffee-producing organizations, companies, and key industry players, providing a platform for collaboration and trade opportunities.
The three-day trade fair will host a diverse lineup of activities and exhibits, including:
- Philippine Coffee Quality Competition (PCQC) Awards
- Kape’t Kwentuhan Sessions (Coffee and Storytelling)
- Local and International Guest Speaker Forums
- Coffee Exhibition and Business Matching
- Product Demonstrations and Roasters-Producers Forum
- Cupping Sessions (Coffee Tasting)
- Pop-up Cafés and International Specialty Coffee Guest Exhibitors
- Guild Barista and Roasting Competitions
The Barista and Roasting Competitions will showcase the skills of top coffee artisans, with world-class criteria to determine the best in their craft.
Despite being the second-largest coffee consumer in Asia, the Philippine coffee industry faces challenges in local supply. The expo aims to bridge the gap by connecting producers, suppliers, and buyers while highlighting sustainable farming practices and innovative processing techniques.
PCG Audit Director Brenda Claver shared the event’s vision: “Coffee is a source of comfort, and the Philippine Coffee Expo is an occasion for the community to come together and share expertise. From exhibits to demos, it will be a feast for the senses, bringing together roasters, suppliers, and equipment manufacturers. It’s not just about coffee—it’s about building a strong community and working together in an environmentally sustainable way.”
The Philippine Coffee Expo 2025 is organized in partnership with Perdem Hay Marketing Solutions Inc., along with major sponsors: Gourmet Farms Inc., Provincial Government of Sultan Kudarat, DA-PRDP-NPCO (Department of Agriculture’s Philippine Rural Development Project – National Project Coordinating Office), Easy Brand PH, Eighty Plus, Top Creamery, Curve Coffee Collaborators.
