A shocking turn of events unfolded on the noontime variety show It’s Showtime as hosts announced the disqualification of Tawag ng Tanghalan (TNT) All Star Grand Resbak 2025 contender Marco Adobas during the March 27 episode.

The revelation came after Vice Ganda teased viewers to stay tuned for a “very important announcement,” sparking speculation among fans about unresolved issues from a previous round.
Many viewers had anticipated clarification regarding the controversial results of an earlier battle between Marko Rudio, Judy Lou Benitez, and Ayegee Paredes. Despite Paredes earning a standing ovation, the win was awarded to Rudio, leaving some fans dissatisfied. However, the announcement proved far more significant than a mere recount of past results.
Host Jhong Hilario opened the discussion by explaining, “Ang mga kalahok sa Tawag ng Tanghalan ay may pinirmahang kasunduan o waiver, bago pa mag-umpisa ang kompetisyon.”
His co-host Vhong Navarro followed with the bombshell: “At sa di po inaasahang pangyayari, si Marco Adobas ng Pangkat Alon, ay may mga nilabag na alituntunin sa pinirmahan niyang kasunduan, dahilan para siya ay ma-disqualify at hindi na magpatuloy sa kompetisyon.”
The disqualification stemmed from Adobas’ recent actions on social media. Netizens pointed out that the Pangkat Alon contender had posted several Facebook statuses accusing It’s Showtime management of rigging the competition to favor a “less deserving” winner. These inflammatory claims appear to have violated the terms of his contestant agreement, leading to his abrupt exit from the singing contest.
Vhong Navarro added a sobering note: “At dahil sa mabigat na paratang na inilathala niya sa kanyang social media patungkol sa kompetisyon at sa programa, may posibilidad na masampahan siya ng kaso.” The hosts hinted that legal consequences could follow Adobas’ public accusations, amplifying the gravity of the situation.
Vice Ganda took the opportunity to address the broader implications of the incident. “Kaya everyone, be very careful,” he cautioned.
“Maaari tayong magbigay ng opinyon, pero siguraduhing ang ating opinyon ay hindi makapagpapahamak ng sinumang tao, o alinmang grupo, at lalong hindi makapagpapahamak sa sarili ninyo. Lalo na sa mga may pinipirmahang kasunduan, please be mindful kung ano ang pinipirmahan ninyo, para alam nyo rin kung paano ninyo dadalhin ang inyong sarili.”
In the wake of Adobas’ disqualification, the show named Arvery Lagoring, formerly of the dissolved Pangkat Amihan, as his replacement in Pangkat Alon.
The announcement marks a fresh chapter for the competition, though the controversy surrounding Adobas’ departure continues to ripple through social media and fan discussions.
