Kathryn Bernardo is not just one of the biggest stars in the country — she’s also undeniably one of the most admired.
So it came as no surprise when her mother, Min Bernardo, confirmed that the Asia’s Superstar and box-office queen has no shortage of admirers.

In an interview with ABS-CBN’s MJ Felipe for ‘On Cue’, Mommy Min was asked if her daughter currently has any suitors. Her candid and playful reply?
“Siyempre naman. Ang pangit ba naman ng anak ko kung walang manliligaw?”
Although she didn’t go into detail about the identities of the men expressing interest in Kathryn, she made it clear that as a mother, she gives her daughter space when it comes to love.
“Hinahayaan ko lang siya pero andiyan pa rin ako sa side na, bulong-bulong, ‘Hindi tama ‘yan, hindi okay ‘yan.’ Yung mga gano’n ba,” she said with a laugh.
She shared that she always reminds Kathryn to think things through — not just once, but a hundred times — before making big decisions, especially in love.
“Kasi mahirap magkamali. Especially sa stature niya ngayon, marami naghihintay na magkamali siya,” she explained.
When it comes to settling down, Mommy Min admitted she once told her children that 25 would be a good age to get married. Kathryn is now 29, and according to her mom, that timeline has shifted.
“Sabi niya, last year, ‘Siguro mga 33,’ tapos padasog nang padasog. Nu’ng isang araw, narinig ko nga, 34 daw. Pero sabi ko sa kanya, kasi may expiration ang babae, hindi katulad ng lalaki,” she quipped.
Throughout the interview, Min Bernardo was visibly proud of her daughter’s growth — both as an actress and as a woman. She recounted how she set aside her own career to guide Kathryn from her early days as an extra, through rejections and controversies, to eventually becoming one of the most sought-after stars in the industry.
“Ngayon si Kathryn, independent na siya… ang strong ng anak ko,” she declared.
As Women’s Month draws to a close, Mommy Min’s words serve as a reminder of the powerful, nurturing presence behind one of the most beloved stars in Philippine showbiz.
Kathryn is currently busy with new film and brand commitments, while also navigating public interest surrounding her personal life. She has recently been linked to her Hello, Love, Again co-star Alden Richards, as well as Lucena City Mayor Mark Alcala — though nothing has been confirmed.
Meanwhile, fans remain hopeful that Kathryn’s next love story, whether on or off screen, will be just as iconic as the roles she’s portrayed.
