Award-winning actress Kathryn Bernardo is set to celebrate her 29th birthday on March 26, but instead of excitement, she admitted to experiencing birthday blues and uncertainty about the next chapter of her life.
Speaking at the media conference for ‘Pilipinas Got Talent’ Season 7, where she serves as a judge, Kathryn candidly shared her emotions about entering a new phase of adulthood.
“I’m turning 29 in a few days. I’m at the point in my life again where I feel so lost,” Kathryn confessed during the interview.
She recalled feeling a similar way during the thanksgiving party of ‘The Hows of Us’, but this time, the emotions hit her harder.
“I didn’t expect na mafe-feel ko ‘to ulit. Siguro it’s part of adulting and growing, and nararamdaman ko siya just like everybody else,” she admitted.
Despite her fears, Kathryn believes that acknowledging her feelings is a brave act.
“To be honest, I’m so scared, I’m so lost, but I think it’s so brave na every day I show up,” she said. “I choose to grow and accept all the uncertainties.”
Kathryn also normalized being vulnerable, saying she no longer hides her emotions from the people around her.
“I have my days, and hindi ko na ‘yun tinatago sa mga tao,” she added.
Part of this transition, Kathryn revealed, is moving into her own home—a big step not only for her but also for her family.
“I think part of me growing is getting my own place as well, and I think it’s my transition stage,” she shared.
She sees this as a crucial step in shaping her future, explaining, “The next coming years are very, very important kasi ‘yun ‘yung magdi-dictate kung saan ako sa future [ko].”
Though uncertain of what lies ahead, Kathryn is embracing the changes.
“I don’t know if I can do it, but I’m just very open and I’m here for growth,” she said.
Since confirming her breakup with longtime boyfriend Daniel Padilla in November 2023, Kathryn has been fully embracing her solo journey—focusing on personal growth and career achievements.
She recently starred in the box-office hit ‘Hello, Love, Again’, currently the highest-grossing Filipino film, and continues to take on new challenges in her career and personal life.
