Award-winning actress Judy Ann Santos addressed long-standing speculations about a possible reunion movie with Piolo Pascual, saying that while she is open to the idea, the project must be worth the wait.

In an interview with Maricel Soriano on her YouTube vlog, Santos shared that despite the persistent interest from fans, there is no set timeline for the much-anticipated collaboration.
“Parang ilang years nang tinatanong ‘yan, parang mahigit isang dekada na. Hindi ko alam [kung kailan],” Santos admitted.
Santos emphasized that the biggest challenge is finding a fresh and original story that does not draw comparisons to their previous films or similar romantic dramas.
“Parang sa akin, napakahirap makahanap ng magandang materyal na hindi makikitaan ng comparison or hindi maiisip na ‘ah, ginaya ito sa ganitong [movie] ‘yung original concept,” she explained.
She added that while several projects have been pitched to her and Pascual, none have stood out as distinct enough.
“Sa totoo po, marami namang pini-present na mga istorya sa akin or probably kay Piolo din pero palagi akong may napagbabasehang ibang pelikula, palaging may ganun,” she said.
For Santos, if a reunion movie is to happen, it must offer something truly original and justify the long anticipation.
“For me, it should be a very original concept that’s worth it,” she reiterated.
Although there are no concrete plans yet, Santos clarified that she is not closing the door on a potential reunion film. However, she stressed that the entire creative team—from the director to the production company and writer—must align to deliver an exceptional project.
“Hindi ko rin naman sinasabi na it will not happen. It’s just hard to say kung kailan siya mangyayari kasi kailangan ‘yung materyal mismo, mula director and ‘yung production company, writer and all, kailangan worth it. Kailangan okay na okay talaga ‘yung materyal,” she stated.

While fans remain eager to see them together on screen again, Santos expressed how proud she is of Pascual’s achievements over the years.
“I’m happy for Piolo na ang dami niyang nagagawa ngayon. Ang layo nang narating niya. Okay na ako na naging part ako ng career niya,” she shared.
The Judy Ann-Piolo tandem remains one of the most iconic in Philippine cinema, having starred in hit films like ‘Till There Was You’ (2003) and ‘Don’t Give Up On Us’ (2006).
