Kapuso actress and ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition’ housemate Ashley Ortega became emotional in the March 19 episode of the reality show as she opened up about her struggles adjusting to life inside the PBB house.
The 25-year-old actress tearfully entered the confession room to speak with Big Brother, revealing that she was feeling overwhelmed and deeply homesick after the recent departure of her boyfriend Mavy Legaspi and fellow house guest Ivana Alawi.
“Kuya, I miss home. I miss my dog, I miss my friends. Naiinis ako dito, ang dami kong nararamdaman,” Ashley said through tears.
She admitted that she couldn’t fully understand the flood of emotions she was experiencing and was struggling to manage them on her own.
“Hindi ko alam bakit ako iyak ng iyak, ayoko ‘yong nararamdaman ko ngayon. I am so overwhelmed, napapagod ako Kuya,” she confessed.
Ashley added that the emotional toll of seeing Mavy and Ivana leave the house in the same week contributed heavily to her feelings.
“Ang dami kong nararamdamang emotions… from Mavy leaving, from being paired with Ivana and then her leaving. Gusto ko magmukmok mag-isa. Gusto ko umiyak mag-isa, ayokong i-express ang nararamdaman ko eh, gusto ko lang umiyak,” she said.
The actress also admitted that she was not yet comfortable showing her vulnerable side to her fellow housemates, choosing instead to confide in Big Brother.
In response, Big Brother offered reassurance and understanding, reminding Ashley that her emotions were valid.
“‘Yung nararamdaman mo, normal ‘yan diyan sa loob. Nakaka-overwhelm talaga minsan. Kung hindi mo pa kayang mag-open up sa kanila, I won’t force you. You don’t have to,” he said.
“Gusto ko lang malaman mo na this is a safe place. Anytime na gusto mo mapag-isa, you can run here,” he added.
Ashley’s candid confession has drawn empathy from viewers, many of whom praised her vulnerability and honesty while navigating the emotional challenges of the PBB house.
