Actress and singer Arci Muñoz remains a proud BTS ARMY, revealing that the K-pop supergroup has played a significant role in motivating and uplifting her through the years.
During the press conference for her upcoming film ‘Sinagtala’ on March 11, 2025, Muñoz shared how BTS has influenced both her career and personal life, even admitting to spending large sums to attend their concerts and purchase official merchandise.
When asked about the theme song of her life, Muñoz instantly chose BTS’ ‘Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)’, emphasizing how the group has helped her cope with challenges.
“‘Yet to Come’ ng BTS kasi sila rin ang nagpapasaya sa akin. Maraming times talaga na sinave ako ng BTS,” she shared.
As an avid fan, she is already preparing to see them again once they complete their mandatory military service.
“Tapos malapit na silang lumabas sa military [training]. So, hey, gastos! Ha-hahaha!” Muñoz said in jest.
She also admitted that she has started working even harder to afford concert tickets, saying: “Nagtatrabaho na po uli ako ngayon para may pambili ako ng ticket, may pambudol.”
Muñoz is set to return to the big screen with ‘Sinagtala’, a film that explores the struggles and triumphs of a band of the same name. She stars alongside Rhian Ramos, Rayver Cruz, Matt Lozano, and Glaiza de Castro, under the direction of Mike Sandejas.
Produced by Sinagtala Productions, the movie is scheduled for release on April 2, 2025.
Muñoz is optimistic about the film’s success, expressing her belief that it will be a major box office hit.
“Naniniwala ako na sa dami ng pinagdaanan ko, the best is yet to come and this is my year, na magiging blockbuster ang Sinagtala!” she declared.
Despite her enthusiasm, Muñoz admitted that portraying her character in ‘Sinagtala’ was demanding, as the role was far from her real-life personality.
The film’s theme of friendship and perseverance resonated deeply with her, reminding her of the importance of having a solid support system.
“Konti lang po kasi ‘yung friends ko. ‘Yung mga kabanda ko, sila talaga ‘yung nag-stick sa akin hanggang ngayon.”
“Sa mga struggle ko sa buhay, ‘yung mga totoo kong kaibigan, sila talaga ‘yung tatakbuhan ko sa oras na parang walang-wala ka talaga,” she shared.
Muñoz has long been vocal about her love for BTS, even facing criticism in the past for her dedication to the fandom. However, she remains unapologetic about her admiration for the group, as they have helped her navigate challenges in both her personal and professional life.
