Actress Arci Muñoz recently got candid about a chapter from her past that involved a royal romance.
In her guest appearance on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’ aired Friday, March 21, Arci revisited her relationship with the son of a Brunei prince, calling it the “best time of my life.”
“He is such a great guy,” Arci said, describing her former boyfriend as a humble and down-to-earth person despite his royal background. “It was simple yet luxurious. He made me feel like a queen.”
Though they’ve lost contact, Arci had nothing but fond memories of their time together. She revealed that her ex-boyfriend, whose identity she didn’t explicitly confirm but has previously been reported as Badi del Rosario, the son of Prince Jefri Bolkiah, would even attempt to escape his bodyguards to enjoy some privacy and freedom.
“He’s very cool,” she said with a smile. “Sometimes he’d run away from the bantay just to be normal.”
Arci admitted that the relationship left a deep mark on her, saying that he was her “first ultimate love.”
“You just can’t love somebody that much,” she reflected. “We had a really deep connection. He set the standards so high, ang hirap na tuloy magka-boyfriend ngayon.”
Although they didn’t end up together, Arci expressed her gratitude and said she’d be happy to see him again someday. “I’m so happy for him. I want to tell him that. Our relationship was solid.”
The two reportedly ended their relationship in 2016 due to their busy schedules and growing responsibilities. At the time, Arci was focused on her acting career and also coping with the loss of her father. Despite the breakup, she said they remained good friends.
Now, several years later, Arci revealed that it’s been three or four years since her last serious relationship. She’s been channeling her energy into her craft and her loved ones.
