Kim Chiu received overwhelming support from her closest friends Angelica Panganiban and Bela Padilla during the premiere night of her newest romantic comedy film, ‘My Love Will Make You Disappear’, held ahead of its nationwide release on March 26.
Panganiban and Padilla, the “AngBe” of the well-loved AngBeKi friendship trio, were among the first to watch the film, which stars Chiu alongside Paulo Avelino. Both actresses raved about the movie and Chiu’s performance, calling it her most daring yet.
“Congratulations, Kim. Parang si Kim lang talaga ‘yung gusto kong i-congratulate — panalong-panalo siya sa lahat ng ginawa niya kay PauM,” said Panganiban, referring to the onscreen pairing of Chiu and Avelino.
“Grabe, Kim in her most daring role!” Padilla added.
The duo also humorously pointed out the number of kisses shared by Chiu and Avelino on-screen. “84 million!” Panganiban joked, prompting laughter from attendees.
Padilla described the film as a “feel-good” movie, adding, “Tawang-tawa kami. I loved it.”
Panganiban shared the same sentiment, saying, “Mula umpisa hanggang sa natapos, talagang ngumingiti ka lang. Of course, may mga moments na makikinig ka, pero most of the time talagang mapapasigaw ka, matatawa ka nang malakas. Laugh-out-loud film siya.”
The actress also expressed pride in her friend’s performance. “Nakaka-proud bilang mga kaibigan dahil kitang-kita mo na tinrabaho talaga ni Kim ‘yung buong pelikula. Bagay na bagay sila ni Pau. Dito ko na-confirm na bagay nga sila.”
When asked about the real status between Chiu and Avelino, Panganiban quipped, “Friends daw sabi nila sa movie. Pero ganoon maghalikan!”
