Top Original Pilipino Music (OPM) artists are coming together for a one-night-only benefit concert, DaddyAid, in support of Allan Mitchell “Daddy A” Silonga—musician, producer, and beloved mentor—who is currently battling kidney failure and heart complications.
Happening on May 25, 2025, at the Marikina Sports Center, DaddyAid will feature an all-star lineup including Ben&Ben, Gloc-9, Moira Dela Torre, Sandwich, Moonstar88, Imago, Tanya Markova, Gracenote, 6cyclemind, and many more. Rising acts such as Lola Amour, One Click Straight, Over October, Jikamarie, Kiyo, Morobeats, and Legit Misfitz will also take the stage, along with Daddy A’s children—Blaster of IV of Spades and emerging artist SHANNi.
Silonga, best known for his work with bands Daddy’s Home and K24/7, as well as for founding IV of Spades, is a respected figure in the Filipino music industry. He has nurtured numerous talents and helped shape the OPM landscape, both as a performer and behind the scenes.
“This isn’t just a concert—it’s a collective stand for one of our own,” organizers said. “In a world where headlines are often about rivalries and solo wins, DaddyAid is a rare and powerful reminder of what happens when an entire industry unites—not for fame, but for family.”
Adding to the emotional weight of the event is the unconfirmed but highly anticipated possibility of an IV of Spades reunion, which has sparked buzz online. The band has been on hiatus since 2020, and many fans hope the benefit concert for their founder will mark a momentous comeback.
Silonga’s condition has already mobilized the community. Last February, Moonstar88 and 6cyclemind sold prized memorabilia—including an electric guitar featured in Moonstar88’s music videos and a trophy from the 2008 ASAP 24K Gold Awards—on Jayson “Boss Toyo” Luzadas’s Pinoy Pawnstars show. The items were sold for a total of ₱400,688, with the final digits playfully referencing the bands’ names.
“Every ticket sold brings Daddy A closer to healing,” organizers emphasized. “This is more than music—it’s a movement.”
Early bird tickets for DaddyAid will go on sale Friday, March 28 at 10AM, with seat maps and section plans to be released a day prior. All proceeds will go toward Silonga’s medical expenses, including a life-saving kidney transplant.
For many, the concert is not just a chance to witness an iconic musical gathering, but an opportunity to give back to someone who has given so much to the music scene.
In the words of the organizers: “This time, the scene isn’t just making noise. It’s making a difference.”
