Actor Sam Milby shared a rare glimpse into his personal life, revealing the name of his first love during the press conference for his upcoming film ‘Everything About My Wife’.
Unlike his fellow cast members, Sam openly named his high school sweetheart, looking back fondly on his teenage romance.
Born and raised in Troy, Ohio, USA, Sam moved to the Philippines in 2005 after joining ‘Pinoy Big Brother Season 1’. Reflecting on his youth, he recalled his first girlfriend at 12 or 13 years old, but admitted that she was not his first love.
“Her name is Laura Miller. But I wouldn’t say she was my first love. I had a huge crush on her for how many years.”
Instead, his true first love came later in high school.
“My first love, I would say, was my high school girlfriend. We were together for four years on and off. Her name is Lindsay Perry,” he revealed with a laugh.
When asked what made him fall for Lindsay, Sam emphasized that their relationship was built on friendship.
“For me, the foundation of friendship is really important. You really know the person, and everything else follows after that. And obviously, physical attraction—that’s a given. We got along. We had a lot of similar likes. Kaya lagi kami magkasama.”
The actor was then asked if Lindsay could still be found on social media, but he quickly shut down any search attempts.
“May asawa na siya. Kaya pag sinearch niyo, Lindsay Perry, hindi na [makikita]. Hahaha!”
He admitted that their relationship ended naturally, as they were still young at the time.
“Kahit lagi kami magkasama, we just enjoyed our time together. It was four years.”
Over the years, Sam has been linked to several high-profile celebrities. He previously had a four-year relationship with Anne Curtis, followed by a two-year romance with model Mari Jasmine.
His most recent relationship was with Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, with whom he was engaged. However, the couple ended their relationship in May 2024, marking the end of another chapter in Sam’s love life.
Sam Milby is set to star alongside Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado in the romantic-comedy ‘Everything About My Wife’, which is slated to hit cinemas on February 26, 2025. The film is co-produced by CreaZion Studios and GMA Pictures.
