Professional surfer Philmar Alipayo has addressed rumors about his alleged infidelity, confirming the claims through a series of Instagram stories early Saturday morning, February 8.
This comes amid growing speculation about his relationship with former actress and vlogger Andi Eigenmann.
In his native language, Alipayo admitted that the circulating allegations were true, stating: “Kon ono may galing ijo mga nabasahan koman tinood jaon. Waya nay tagoay kay mas malisod,” which translates to: “Whatever you’ve read, it’s all true. I won’t hide it anymore because it’s harder that way.”
Shortly after Alipayo’s revelation, Eigenmann posted a cryptic message on her Instagram story, hinting at betrayal.
“They stab you and pretend they are the ones bleeding,” she wrote, leaving fans speculating about the state of their relationship.
Alipayo followed up with another message addressing the backlash he has been receiving. “Kilaya man kamo kun ono ako na pagka tawo. So segoro kilaya sab kamo kon ona cja. Dili na nato taason an tanan,” he wrote, which means: “You already know who I am, so you probably know who she is too. There’s no need to prolong this.”
He also responded to the insults hurled at him online, saying: “You all can call me a cheater and ugly now. Pero salamat sa mga tawo na no message sanan ka kilaya sa ako,” meaning, “You can call me a cheater and ugly now, but thank you to those who truly know me and have reached out.”
Philmar and Andi have been together for several years and share two children, Lilo and Koa. The couple announced their engagement in 2020 and had been preparing for a beach wedding in 2024. However, the wedding was postponed due to the passing of Andi’s mother, veteran actress Jaclyn Jose.
The controversy has sparked various reactions online. Some netizens expressed disappointment, while others urged people to respect the couple’s privacy during this difficult time. Supporters of Andi and Philmar also sent messages of encouragement to both, hoping they can resolve their issues privately.
