Media personality and actress Kris Aquino has officially confirmed that she is single, ending speculations about her relationship status. In her latest social media post, she also provided a health update, revealing the challenges she continues to face as she undergoes treatment for multiple autoimmune diseases.
Addressing rumors that she is engaged or in a relationship, Kris clarified that she is currently not romantically involved with anyone.
“I’ve always been honest with all of you. For some time now, I have been single—no boyfriend, so clearly no fiancé. I never gave details while we were a couple, so it makes no sense to elaborate now,” she stated.
The confirmation follows months of speculation linking her to Dr. Michael Padlan, a surgeon at Makati Medical Center, with whom she was rumored to be in a relationship. Despite addressing the matter, Kris chose not to provide further details about her past relationship.
Beyond her personal life, Kris focused on updating her followers about her health condition, which remains her priority. She revealed that she currently weighs only 37 kilos (82 pounds) and has yet to reach a stable condition that would allow her to resume work.
“My doctors and I agreed that for me to be considered stable, my WBC (white blood cell) count must not fall below 5.5 for four straight weeks, my hemoglobin should improve to at least 9.5, and my weight must hold steady at 90 pounds (40.8 kilos),” she explained.
She also disclosed that her list of autoimmune diseases has expanded, now including: Autoimmune Thyroiditis, Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria, Eosinophilic Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (EGPA) – a rare and life-threatening form of vasculitis, Systemic Sclerosis, Lupus/SLE (Systemic Lupus Erythematosus), Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Possible Polymyositis, Mixed Connective Tissue Disease. Adding to her difficulties, Kris revealed that she is allergic to NSAIDs, steroids, pain relievers, antibiotics, and immunoglobulin therapy, making her pain management more complicated.

“Many times, the physical pain is overwhelming,” she admitted.
Despite her health struggles, she maintains a positive outlook and even shared how her youngest son, Bimby, helps lighten the mood.
“Bimb said: ‘Mama, you belong in X-Men because you’re a mutant.’”
Kris expressed gratitude for the unwavering support of her loved ones, particularly Kim Chiu, Miles Ocampo, Darla Sauler, and her doctors. She also thanked her fans who continue to send prayers and words of encouragement.
Her comments section was flooded with messages of support.
Despite the physical and emotional challenges she is facing, Kris assured her fans that she remains resilient.
“Thank you for your love and concern. #HINDISUSUKO #TULOYANGLABAN.”
