Former actress Katherine Luna has revisited the long-standing controversy surrounding her daughter Nicole, who was once rumored to be the child of actor Coco Martin.
In an interview with Julius Babao’s YouTube channel, Katherine addressed the lingering speculations about their past, including the DNA test results that confirmed Coco was not Nicole’s biological father.
Katherine made it clear that she never demanded financial support from Coco when she gave birth to Nicole. However, she admitted that as the child grew older, she started noticing that Nicole did not resemble the actor, which raised some doubts in her mind.
“Sobrang hiyang-hiya ako. Kung ano man ‘yung nangyari, ‘yung mga nasabi ko dati, sana balang araw mapatawad mo ko,” Katherine emotionally stated, addressing Coco.
She further explained that after the DNA test results were released, she chose to distance herself from the issue and from the public eye. While she and Coco no longer had any communication, she revealed that the actor was sometimes able to spend time with Nicole through her mother—without her knowledge.
During the interview, Katherine also disclosed that Nicole has never met her real father, whom she identified as a Chinese businessman.
“Hindi siya taga-showbiz pero ‘yung asawa niya ngayon ay isang artista rin,” she revealed.
Katherine and Coco first met while working together on an indie film, which eventually led to their past relationship. Now, after years of speculation and controversy, Katherine expressed her desire to move forward and seek forgiveness from Coco.
Meanwhile, Coco Martin has yet to comment on Katherine’s recent statements.
