Filipino singer-comedienne K Brosas has won her long-standing legal battle against a contractor who allegedly abandoned the construction of her home despite receiving full payment.
The court ruling, issued on February 13, 2025, marked the end of a case that K filed in September 2021, after experiencing significant financial and emotional distress due to the contractor’s alleged failure to deliver the agreed-upon project.
Taking to Instagram, Brosas expressed relief and gratitude following the court’s decision, calling it a “great Valentine’s gift” and a win for others who have experienced similar injustices.
“Convicted (but not yet final), finally.
Today, justice prevailed. Thank you, Lord! Salamat Sales and Valderrama Law Office, lalo na kay Atty. Charlotte!”
This is one great Valentine’s gift! Panalo ito ng lahat ng mga naloko! Lablab!”

Brosas first made headlines in September 2021 when she revealed on social media that she had encountered issues with her Php 7-million home construction. She alleged that despite paying in full, the contractor failed to complete the house and ultimately abandoned the project.
The incident took a significant toll on her mental health, with the comedienne admitting to experiencing anxiety attacks and stress as she struggled with the unfinished home.
Unable to resolve the dispute privately, Brosas decided to take legal action against the contractor, filing an official complaint with the help of her legal team.
I hope justice will be served at the end of the day.”
Following the announcement of her legal victory, many fellow celebrities, including Pokwang and Kakai Bautista, expressed their support for Brosas, praising her determination to fight for justice.
Meanwhile, netizens also reacted strongly to the news, with many pointing out the widespread issue of fraudulent contractors in the country.
Although the court convicted the contractor, Brosas clarified that the ruling is “not yet final,” implying that the legal process may still continue should an appeal be filed.
Despite the challenges she faced, Brosas was able to complete her home through the help of a different contractor.
