The new records coincide the major turn of events in the top-rating Kapamilya program.
Already on its third year of ruling local television, FPJ’s Batang Quiapo‘s continues to crush records and set new milestones previously-deemed impossible for local TV production. Poised to deliver new turns and twists, the story of the series, now well-loved in every Filipino household, is expected to introduce new characters that will make it even more appealing and relatable to local audience.
Aside from consistently topping the television rating charts, FPJ’s Batang Quiapo is unstoppable on its reign in the digital and streaming world, as it continues to crush competition, as far as online concurrent viewership game. On YouTube, the series is the first local TV production to hit 600,000 live concurrent viewers. Its predecessor, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, notably set record for a finale episode of a local series, having soared past 500,000 concurrent viewers, in August, 2022. Batang Quiapo is geared-up to hit new milestones, like it did in the past two nights.
On Wednesday, February 18, the Coco Martin-starrer, surpassed 818,000 viewers on YouTube, alone. It again broke its own record on Thursday night, February 19, with a whopping combined 880,000+ peak concurrent viewers, 852k of which came from YouTube.
Titled ‘Ang Matinong Anak’, Thursday’s episode featured the impending big confrontation between Tanggol (Coco Martin) and David (McCoy de Leon), as well as between Ramon Montenegro (Christopher de Leon) and Rigor Dimaguiba (John Estrada).
With the much anticipated meeting of father-and-son, Tanggol and Ramon, still set to happen in the next few episodes, it seems this record-breaking streak of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ is likely to continue.
