Kapamilya star Donny Pangilinan has confirmed that he and Belle Mariano are currently focusing on their individual careers, putting their popular DonBelle love team on hold for now.
In an exclusive interview with MJ Felipe of ABS-CBN News, Donny clarified that while they remain close and supportive of each other, they are prioritizing their respective projects.
“Belle is working on a special project soon. It will be announced very soon as well, with a great team,” Donny revealed.
Despite working separately, the actor assured fans that he and Belle continue to support one another.
“She has my full support, and we always talk about it. Wherever we can support each other—for growth and for new experiences—we will be there for each other.”
When asked if there are plans for their next DonBelle project, Donny hinted that something is already in development.
“May niluluto naman po. Right now, I think it’s nice that we get to do our own thing first, so when we come back, I think it’s gonna be a more mature take on our characters.”
While Belle prepares for her mystery project, Donny is stepping into a new role as one of the judges in the highly anticipated Season 7 of ‘Pilipinas Got Talent’ (PGT).
Joining him on the panel are returning judge Freddie M. Garcia (FMG), comedian-actress Eugene Domingo, and Kathryn Bernardo, who is rumored to be Donny’s potential new on-screen partner.
For Donny, landing a judge’s seat on PGT is a long-time dream come true, especially since he and Robi Domingo, one of the show’s hosts, had always hoped to work on the franchise.
“Pangarap namin ni Robi to do ‘PGT’ together. Dati pa, as in MYX days. I’m so glad that they have put so much trust in me, and right now, I’m just gonna try to learn as much as I can,” Donny shared.
Alongside the powerhouse panel of judges, ‘PGT’ will be hosted by Melai Cantiveros and Robi Domingo, with Lorraine Galvez and Wize Estabillo as online hosts for ‘PGT Exclusives’.
