Dingdong Dantes is honored to work alongside veteran actress and former ABS-CBN President and CEO Charo Santos-Concio in their upcoming film, ‘Love After Love.’
The film, produced by ABS-CBN Productions, Star Cinema, Cornerstone Studios, and AgostoDos Pictures, is directed by Irene Villamor and explores various aspects of love, relationships, and friendships.
In a recent interview following the renewal of his contract as the brand ambassador for MESA, Dingdong shared his deep admiration for Charo’s professionalism and exceptional talent.
“Grabe, sobrang hanep talaga! Napaka-professional, napakagaling, talagang wow!” he said.
The Kapuso Primetime King described Charo as a pillar of the entertainment industry and expressed gratitude for the rare opportunity to work with her.
“Alam naman natin na she’s a pillar in this industry. Ako, I look up to her, at talagang nasabi ko, ‘Wow, ‘yun pala ‘yung dahilan bakit ‘yung decades of hard work niya ay nakikita ko ngayon, unfolding right in front of my eyes.'”
Dingdong also shared how every interaction with Charo was a learning experience, inspiring him as an actor.
“Sabi ko nga, napakaswerte ko na makasama lang sa kahit ganitong room si Ma’am Charo, much more makasama siya sa pelikula. Bawat moment na nag-uusap kami, ang dami ko talagang natututunan sa kanya.”
“She really inspires me because of the stories na napagdaanan niya. Lahat ng experiences, at pinakamahalaga doon ‘yung makita ko firsthand ‘yung kanyang talent—’yung makakaeksena mo siya.”
Dingdong kept details about the movie under wraps, but he hinted at its compelling storyline.
“It will tackle so many aspects of love, relationships, friendships…basta! Ayoko magbigay ng masyadong details, but very interesting talaga ‘yung kwento ng dalawang characters.”
The film is scheduled for release this year, with a planned theatrical screening.
“Very soon! This year ang plano na maipalabas siya, hopefully in the cinemas.”
Apart from his upcoming movie, Dingdong Dantes renewed his contract as the celebrity ambassador of MESA, one of the Philippines’ top Filipino restaurant chains.
The contract signing, held in Makati City, was attended by his talent manager Perry Lansigan, MESA’s CEO Rikki Dee, COO Eric Dee, and VP of National Operations Raymond Federigan.
Dingdong has been representing MESA since 2019 and continues to support the restaurant’s “Road to 100” campaign, celebrating its expansion to 80 branches nationwide.
With a highly anticipated film and a continuing advocacy for Filipino cuisine, Dingdong Dantes is set to have an exciting year ahead.
