After more than a decade, Carlo Aquino has made a major career move by officially returning to Viva Artists Agency (VAA), calling it a “homecoming.”
The actor, who was previously under VAA’s management from 2005 to 2011, signed a new contract with the agency on February 20, 2025.
During a media conference, Carlo shared that one of the biggest reasons for his return was the unwavering support and warmth he received from Viva’s top executives, including Boss Vic del Rosario.
Carlo’s return to VAA comes just months after his wedding to actress Charlie Dizon on June 9, 2024.
When asked about Charlie’s thoughts on his career move, Carlo said that she was just as excited as he was.
“Siya rin very excited dahil nga panibagong chapter. Parang kami, kakakasal lang. Yung buhay namin ngayon parang laging beginning, a new beginning,” he said.
Carlo also shared how his wife’s passion for acting continues to inspire him.
“Si Charlie kasi bata pa sa industriya although medyo may edad na siya. Pero yung fire niya saka yung passion niya, parang umaapaw. So, parang nasasama rin ako.”
He went on to describe Charlie as his source of motivation in his work.
“Yung passion ko sa pagtatrabaho, mas lumalaki, mas nagwa-widen. Yun ang ibinibigay niya sa akin kaya ang tawag ko nga sa kanya, yung light, kasi siya yung nagbibigay sa akin ng inspirasyon, fire.”
While specific details about his upcoming projects have yet to be announced, Carlo’s return to Viva Artists Agency signals a new beginning for his career, filled with exciting collaborations and fresh opportunities.
“This is a new journey, and I’m looking forward to everything that’s ahead,” Carlo said, eager to embrace his future under the management that helped shape his career years ago.
