Filipino businessman and philanthropist Boss Toyo has once again extended his generosity by purchasing Moonstar 88’s iconic guitar to aid Daddy A of Daddy’s Home, a former finalist of ‘The X Factor Philippines’ 2012, who is currently battling a heart condition.
Boss Toyo also stepped up to support FlipTop emcee Romano Trinidad, who has been diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer.
The emotional moment was shared on Facebook by Allan Mitchell Silonga, known as Daddy A, who is also the father of Blaster Silonga of IV of Spades.
In a heartfelt post, Daddy A expressed his deep gratitude to Soupstar Entertainment, 6cyclemind, Moonstar 88, and Boss Toyo, writing:
“Sobrang shock ako sa pinakita nyong pagmamahal sa akin. Wala naman akong naitulong ng malaki sa inyo, naging mabuti at naging tao lang ako pag nagkakasama tayo. Sobrang salamat, from the bottom of my heart and my family. Malaking tulong kayo sa akin. God bless you more.”
His post was met with an outpouring of prayers and words of encouragement from fans and friends alike.
Meanwhile, FlipTop emcee Romano Trinidad has reportedly relocated to Manila for easier access to medical treatment and to receive support from his loved ones.
Romano, who initially kept his illness private, finally confirmed his diagnosis through his close friends. He took to Facebook, sharing his struggles and asking for prayers:
“Nagkasakit ako mga tol kaya ‘di nakakareply at hanggang ngayon lumalaban pa rin. Hingi lang sana ako ng maliit na pabor, baka pwede isama nyo ako sa dasal nyo Lord, nahihirapan na po ako, gusto ko na pong makarecover at makasama pamilya ko. Kayo na po bahala, patuloy akong mananalig at magtitiwala na malampasan ito.”
Touched by his story, Boss Toyo stepped in to provide financial and medical assistance for Romano’s hospital expenses.
In the latest episode of Pinoy Pawnstar, members of Moonstar 88 and 6cyclemind visited Boss Toyo’s shop to auction off valuable memorabilia to help raise funds for Daddy A and Romano.
They sold: Moonstar 88’s guitar, famously used in their hit music videos Migraine and Torete; and award trophies they had received. Boss Toyo purchased the items for an impressive ₱1,238,888, acknowledging the sentimental value behind them—even though he admitted he was initially unfamiliar with the two bands.
With Boss Toyo’s initiative, the local music and hip-hop communities have come together, showing that kindness, camaraderie, and generosity can uplift those in need.
Fans and fellow artists are rallying behind Daddy A and Romano, hoping for their recovery and better days ahead.
