Actress and social media personality Awra Briguela has spoken out against online trolls who persistently call her ‘Bronny James’, saying she has had enough of the mockery and harassment.
In a post on her Instagram broadcast channel, Awra expressed her frustration over the recurring taunts, revealing that while she tries to ignore negativity online, the excessive spamming of the nickname has pushed her limits.
“As much as I want to ignore all the ‘Bronny James’ comments—because honestly, I don’t really give a F—sometimes you guys go too far, spamming me with those comments. For what? To ruin my day or just to get noticed?” she wrote.
She also reminded her followers that everyone has personal boundaries, and while she often chooses to take the high road, she refuses to tolerate continuous harassment.
“Just because I choose to ignore things doesn’t mean I don’t get hurt. This is a small reminder that everyone has their limits and boundaries. I always try to be kind and take the high road, but sometimes, some of you take things too far.”
The actress did not stop at simply addressing the issue—she issued a firm warning that she will take action against those who continue to mock and harass her.
“If this happens again, especially from a student, I will not hesitate to report it, as I do not tolerate this kind of behavior.”
Her statement came after a surge of comments on her social media pages, where netizens sarcastically referred to her as ‘Bronny James’, an American basketball player and the son of NBA superstar LeBron James.

Some of the mocking comments included: “Let’s go Bronny James!” “Bwahaha ayaw mo ba kamukha mo si Bronny James? At least athlete.” “Bakit kasi tinawag kang Bronny James ni Malupiton? Yan tuloy, tumatak na sa tao.” “Leave Bronny James alone!”
Awra, who is known for expressing her femininity and confidence online, found the comparisons offensive, as they seemingly mock her identity and appearance.
In an unexpected turn, Awra directly confronted one of the netizens who had called her ‘Bronny James’ in a private message. The person immediately apologized and assured her that it would not happen again.
This incident sheds light on the impact of cyberbullying, even on celebrities. While Awra has long been a strong and outspoken personality, this episode highlights the constant struggle against online harassment that many public figures face.
