Former Miss Universe 2013 3rd runner-up Ariella Arida has been appointed as the new National Director of the Miss Universe Philippines Organization (MUPH).
The announcement was made during the press presentation of the Miss Universe Philippines 2025 candidates on Saturday, February 17, in Makati.
Arida, who placed 3rd runner-up in Miss Universe 2013, expressed her gratitude and excitement for her new role in leading the organization.
“I know this is a big shoe to fill in, but not everyone knows that even from the start, on how Miss Universe Philippines started, I was there looking at them. I still get to talk with them. So I’m still involved in what’s happening, and I supported them from the very start,” Arida said.

During the press presentation, 69 candidates were officially introduced as they vie for the prestigious Miss Universe Philippines 2025 crown.
The winner of the national competition will go on to represent the Philippines in the Miss Universe 2025 pageant, scheduled for November 21, 2025, at the Impact Muang Thong Thani Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

The press presentation was attended by members of the media, including LionhearTV, which received an exclusive invitation from BingoPlus, one of the event’s official sponsors.
