Actress Andrea Brillantes has officially left Star Magic, the talent management arm of ABS-CBN, after more than a decade.
She is now under the guidance of veteran talent manager Shirley Kuan, who also handles Bea Alonzo and Albert Martinez.
Brillantes confirmed the management shift, describing it as a “new era” in her career.
“Different era for me. Sana maging super blessed itong new era na ito,” she shared in an interview.
The 21-year-old actress also noted how this transition aligns with other major changes in her life.
“Nagsasabay-sabay lahat—bagong show, bagong management, tapos magte-22 na rin ako. So talagang ang daming room for exploration.”
Brillantes did not disclose the reason for leaving Star Magic, where she had been a talent for over ten years. The ABS-CBN management group played a crucial role in building her career, consistently providing her with major projects.
Before joining Star Magic, she was listed under GMA Artist Center, where she started her career as a child actress.
Brillantes began in the entertainment industry at just seven years old, starring in television commercials before making her debut on the children’s sketch show ‘Goin’ Bulilit’ in 2010.
Her first major role came in 2013 when she played the titular character in ‘Annaliza’, solidifying her as a rising star. However, it was her breakthrough performance in 2018’s ‘Kadenang Ginto’, where she portrayed the feisty Marga Mondragon-Bartolome, that made her a household name.
Despite the management shift, Brillantes remains with ABS-CBN and is set to appear in ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’, the network’s top-rating primetime action-drama.
Her new management under Shirley Kuan signals an exciting new phase in her career, with opportunities beyond her past projects. Fans can expect to see a new side of Brillantes as she explores this next chapter in her journey as an actress.
