Singer-songwriter Rico Blanco has stirred speculation with a recent Instagram Story that fans believe was directed at his ex-girlfriend, Maris Racal.
The post featured a video from one of Blanco’s live performances, originally shared by user @chingkaychi. The clip highlighted Blanco’s stage presence, with the text “Why so pogi” referring to his undeniable charm. However, the caption at the bottom of the video read: “Rico’s POV: Ako nga pala yung sinayang mo.”
The cryptic message has led netizens to wonder if Blanco was hinting at his past relationship with Racal, especially after her recent revelations about their breakup.
In December 2024, Racal admitted in an interview that actor Anthony Jennings was the reason behind their separation.
“I came clean right away. I told my ex everything and I admitted things to him. And then we broke up,” Racal shared during the televised interview.
Despite the highly publicized breakup, Blanco has remained composed and refrained from making any negative remarks about Racal.

Rico Blanco and Maris Racal began dating in 2021 after collaborating on a single in 2019. Racal had previously described Blanco as her “ideal guy” and expressed her desire for a creative partner in her music journey.
Racal announced their separation on July 12, 2024, during a press conference, describing the split as “very difficult but a very polite separation.”
