After staging a wildly successful first run in 2024, Miss Universe Philippines – Quezon City (MUPH – QC) is once again searching for its next representative to compete in the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2025.
On January 9, 2025, MUPH – QC dropped its much-awaited video teaser featuring 10 official candidates. With billowy gowns and dazzling smiles to boot, the girls were carefully selected from different parts of the city, each with their own inspiring story to tell.
Among them is seasoned pageant queen Patricia Logdat. The 5’5” Brgy. South Triangle stunner has actively participated in beauty contests while juggling college life and freelance modeling. She is also a proud cancer survivor who hopes to raise awareness through her project “Bandana.”
A flight attendant by profession, Jamaica Sicat of Brgy. Baesa recently earned her student pilot license. With a passion for aviation and aerospace, her goal is to set an example to other women – that they too can succeed in traditionally male-dominated fields of work.
Not to be outdone is 56-year-old Catherine Muguerza. The eldest of the finalists, this Brgy. Sangandaan resident dreamed of becoming a beauty queen since childhood. She enters the competition keen on empowering senior women to follow their dreams and live life to the fullest.
Inspired by its “City of Stars” moniker, MUPH – QC defied long-held beauty standards and set out to transform contestants into stars that serve as a light to the universe. From personal branding to financial freedom, all MUPH – QC contestants underwent extensive skills training to showcase both their pageant-ready looks as well as the positive influence they make in their community.
But behind the glitz and glamour that comes with pageantry, MUPH – QC remains committed to educate Filipinos on relevant issues, create innovative pageant experiences, and elevate entertainment on the big stage. Together with its diverse set of candidates, MUPH – QC expanded its advocacy by partnering with the Voice For Change organization. As such, part of the proceeds from this competition will be donated to send children in need to school.
Avid fans will remember how the first MUPH – QC show was marked with several milestones. Online, it saw 530,000 streamers on Facebook Live and more than 3,000,000 organic reach across all social media platforms. On ground, it was the only local pageant to be sponsored by top consumer brands in beauty and lifestyle.
This year, MUPH – QC is pulling even more stops with a culminating ceremony fit for queens. The Grand Coronation Night is scheduled on February 2, 2025 at 7:00PM at the SM Skydome, North Edsa, boasting a 1,200 seating capacity. Adding to the star-studded event are special appearances by 22nd Manhunt International Winner Kevin Dasom, Star Athlete and Miss Universe Philippines – Quezon City 2020 Michele Gumabao, and the trailblazing, first-ever Miss Universe Asia Chelsea Manalo.
The winner of MUPH – QC 2025 will succeed Cam Lagmay.
MUPH – QC is mounted by Quezon City-based full service marketing agency Brand Republic PH. For ticket reservations, reach out to Miss Universe Philippines – QC directly.
