Star Cinema AdProm head, Mico Del Rosario, has refuted false claims regarding the cinema count for Vice Ganda’s movie ‘And The Breadwinner Is…’.
Del Rosario clarified that the movie is currently being screened in 241 cinemas, debunking the misinformation circulated by a particular X account which stated that only 170 cinemas were showing the film.

Additionally, he highlighted the continuous increase in the number of cinemas screening the movie, as it was initially shown in 192 cinemas last Wednesday.
With his position at Star Cinema, Del Rosario has better access to the actual number of cinemas screening their movie.
He also shared an important message to everyone on his Instagram Stories, stating, “So year on year I keep on saying, ‘Let’s market and support our movies and idols based on the product’s merits and not leveraging on somebody else’s..”
The X account, known for spreading fake news about ABS-CBN shows and artists, utilized a post from LionhearTV as an excuse for propagating the false information. More than 220 cinemas were initially listed on our art card, as it was the extent of our capacity to count through published online cinema allocations of various malls. Many cinemas, especially regional ones, have not updated their websites, and some are yet to be accounted for.
