Actress Rhian Ramos showcased her devotion and support for her boyfriend, Congressman Sam Verzosa, by attending the Asia Leaders Awards-Manila event on Thursday night, despite battling heavy EDSA traffic from Quezon City to North Forbes Park, Makati City.
Verzosa was honored with three prestigious awards during the ceremony: the Humanitarian Excellence Award, the Outstanding Achievement Award for Public Service Program Excellence for his GMA Network program ‘Dear SV’, and the Outstanding Achievement Award for Public Service Program Host.
“I’m very, very proud of him. Grabe, tatlong awards!” Rhian said, expressing her excitement and pride.
The actress, who had earlier appeared on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’, joked that she also felt like a winner, calling Verzosa her “award.”
Meanwhile, Verzosa expressed his gratitude for the recognition, acknowledging the challenges he faces as he prepares for his mayoral run in Manila.
“Nagpapasalamat ako sa mga karangalang ipinagkakaloob sa akin kahit may mga gumagawa ng paraan para siraan ako dahil sa kandidatura ko sa pagka-Mayor ng Maynila,” Verzosa remarked.
The awards add to Verzosa’s growing list of accolades, as he was also a recipient of a Gusi Peace Prize a day earlier.
As the event wrapped up, Verzosa thanked Ramos for her unwavering support, sharing a sweet moment by planting a kiss on her cheek, proving that their partnership is one of mutual respect and admiration.
