Singer-songwriter Moira Dela Torre is at the center of controversy following allegations that her management agency, Cornerstone Entertainment, has ended their professional relationship due to reported attitude concerns.
The claims surfaced in the latest episode of ‘Showbiz Update’, hosted by Ogie Diaz alongside Mama Loi and Ate Mrena. According to an insider, Moira’s behavior and professional disagreements allegedly led to the split.
Ogie Diaz revealed in the episode that Moira’s relationship with Cornerstone has reportedly been terminated.
“May nagchika sa akin, isang source, ang sabi sa atin, pinakawalan na si Moira ng kanyang talent management, ang Cornerstone,” said Ogie.
The alleged reasons include longstanding attitude issues and demands about her career direction.
“May attitude raw noon pa si Moira. Pangalawa, nagde-demand raw si Moira [sa management] ng ‘Anong plano n’yo sa akin? Ano bang mga gagawin ko pa?’” Ogie added.
He further noted that Moira has not released any new hit songs recently, raising questions about her career trajectory.
Another factor allegedly contributing to the fallout is Moira’s non-showbiz boyfriend. Ogie suggested that her partner played a significant role in her career decisions, including her reported request for co-management, which Cornerstone declined.
“Malaki raw na bahagi ng mga desisyon ni Moira ‘yung kanyang boyfriend ngayon,” Ogie revealed.
A particularly contentious incident involved Moira and her road manager. Allegedly, the singer urged her road manager to resign from Cornerstone and work directly with her. However, the conversation reportedly occurred on speakerphone, allowing Cornerstone to overhear the discussion.
“Habang kausap ang road manager, naka-speaker phone at naririnig ng Cornerstone [ang kanilang usapan],” Ogie narrated.
As of now, Moira Dela Torre has not released a statement addressing the allegations. Bandera and other outlets remain open to hearing her side of the story.
