Maribou State – “Dance on the World” (Official Audio)
“Dance on the World” arrives shortly after the release of recent singles “Bloom” and “Otherside” featuring long-time collaborator and vocalist Holly Walker, received widespread support from the likes of Pitchfork, NME, Clash, The Line of Best Fit and Mixmag, plus radio support from Jack Saunders, Pete Tong, Mary Anne Hobbs, Lauren Laverne, Danny Howard.
Along with the initial announcement of their long awaited new album’s release date, Maribou State announced a show at London’s 10k+ Alexandra Palace which sold out in a matter of hours. Seeing the response, a second date was added only to be sold out again within hours. Due to overwhelming demand the band also recently announced an impressive third consecutive show on Sunday 16th February 2025.
The shows will mark a triumphant and poignant moment for the duo, following the news shared earlier this year by Chris Davids that he had undergone a major operation for a rare brain condition, from which he has only just begun to return to the studio and rehearsals full time. The duo also just announced a massive North American tour for Spring 2025, their first full band live dates on the continent in six years with stops in New York, Boston, Chicago, Toronto and many more.
“Dance on the World” is out now, taken from ‘Hallucinating Love’ out 31st January on Ninja Tune.
