Television host Kim Atienza responded to speculations that ‘TiktoClock’, the GMA Network show he co-hosts, could replace ABS-CBN’s ‘It’s Showtime’ if the latter’s contract with the Kapuso network is not renewed by the end of December.
During a contract renewal event with Santé Barley held on December 10 at Pandan Asian Café in Quezon City, Atienza emphasized that the future of It’s Showtime and any potential programming changes are still under negotiation.
“As far as TiktoClock is concerned, we do our best every day,” said Atienza. “Siguro kaya nasasabi na kami ang papalit dahil yung hitsura ng show, parang noontime ang dating. Kasi pre-noontime show siya. As far as kami ba ang papalit o hindi, we know that everything is under negotiation. Our bosses are talking. The bosses of ABS and GMA are talking.”
Atienza added that the TiktoClock team remains focused on delivering a positive and enjoyable show. “Lagi naman kaming happy. Ang selling point ng TiktoClock is masaya kami palagi,” he explained.
Atienza, a former host of ‘It’s Showtime’ (2009–2016, 2019–2020), transitioned to ‘TiktoClock’ in 2022. The show airs in a pre-noontime slot on GMA Network and has drawn comparisons to traditional noontime programs.

Rumors of ‘TiktoClock’ replacing ‘It’s Showtime’ surfaced amid discussions about the expiration of ABS-CBN’s blocktime agreement with GMA Network. ‘It’s Showtime’ has been airing on GMA’s GTV channel since July 2023, following the show’s move from TV5.
Atienza also celebrated his 13-year partnership with Santé Barley, a leading producer of barley-based health products in the Philippines. Atienza and Santé Barley CEO Joey Marcelo share a passion for health and sports, which has strengthened their collaboration over the years.
“Kim embodies what Santé stands for—health, vitality, and resilience,” said Marcelo.
Santé Barley sources organic barley from Canterbury, New Zealand, and has expanded to markets such as Hong Kong, Singapore, and Qatar. The company plans to launch operations in the United States, Indonesia, and Italy in 2024, along with a new beauty line featuring skincare products.
Atienza expressed gratitude for the continued trust of brands and audiences, saying, “I’m feeling blessed dahil ang trabaho ko ay napakaganda at napakadalas.”
Looking ahead, Atienza said he envisions remaining active in television, though he may eventually scale back his commitments. “I want to be in television and in the public eye in my waning years. Maybe I’ll lessen the frequency, maybe I’ll have one TV show or a podcast. But I love television, and I’d love to be on it as long as I can.”
