Karla Estrada recently expressed her joy over the overwhelming success of the sequel ‘Hello, Love, Again,’ which has grossed over 1 billion pesos worldwide, making it the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time.
In a recent interview, Karla shared her happiness for the film’s achievement, stating, “Of course, lahat tayo masaya. Lagi naman nating sinasabi iyan, di ba. Pag magkakasama tayo sa industriya, dapat naghihilahan tayo pataas.” She also congratulated Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards, saying, “Congratulations and I’m very happy. I’m very proud of Kathryn and Alden.”
Though Karla is excited for the movie’s success, she clarified that she has not yet had the chance to personally congratulate Kathryn, as they haven’t met in person since the release.
At the grand mediacon for ‘Incognito,’ Karla showed support for her son, Daniel Padilla, and his co-stars. When asked about her involvement in the upcoming action series, Karla confirmed that she is not part of the cast. “No, di ako kasama sa cast. Maybe iyong anak kong si Carmela,” she said, adding a lighthearted comment.
Karla also shared her excitement about Daniel’s return to television with Incognito, an all-out action series. She revealed how happy Daniel was with the project, saying, “Actually, di lang ako ang natuwa lalo na si Daniel kasi naghanda siya. Matagal na rin nating pinaghahandaan ang isang aksyon na palabas. Actually hindi pa niya ito nagagawa. Nagawa na niya ang drama, comedy. Ito kasi all-out action. Happy siya with Tito Ian, Richard Gutierrez, Ian Veneracion and of course, Baron Geisler kasi nakakahugot siya at marami siyang natututunan.”
Karla also reflected on Daniel’s connection to action roles, pointing out that his father, Rommel Padilla, and his uncle, Senator Robin Padilla, are both well-known action stars.
Despite the star-studded cast, Karla emphasized that there were no issues with the billing, adding, “Wala naman (naging problema). Sa amin naman, basta ang importante kung ano iyong kaya mong ibigay o ipakita. Okay na iyon.”
‘Incognito,’ the highly anticipated action-packed series from ABS-CBN, will premiere on Netflix on January 17, 2025. It will also be available on other Kapamilya platforms, including iWantTFC on January 18, and on Kapamilya Channel, Jeepney TV, TV5, and A2Z starting January 20, 2025.
