Jennylyn Mercado has not yet signed a new contract with GMA Network, months after her previous one expired.
However, sources close to the actress are confident that she will re-sign with the network soon, although the official agreement has not been finalized.
Her recent appearance in GMA Network’s Christmas Station ID has fueled speculations that she will remain with the network. While waiting for her next project, Jennylyn has been dedicating more time to her family, especially her youngest child, Dylan, with husband Dennis Trillo, and their respective teenage sons, Alex Jazz and Calix.
In the meantime, Jennylyn and Dennis have ventured into film production. Their company, Brightburn Entertainment, is co-producing their first movie, ‘Green Bones’, with GMA Films and GMA Public Affairs.
The film, which stars Dennis alongside Ruru Madrid, is part of the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival. Written by National Artist for Film and Broadcast Ricky Lee and directed by Zig Dulay (director of 2023’s Best Picture ‘Firefly’), ‘Green Bones’ marks a new chapter in the couple’s career.
Inspired by fellow stars Dingdong Dantes and Alden Richards, Jennylyn and Dennis are looking to make their mark in the film industry as producers.
