Singer-actress Geneva Cruz is embracing the holiday season with a joyful heart as she confirmed her relationship with Southeast Asian Games jiu-jitsu gold medalist and national athlete, Dean Roxas.
In an interview at a recent event, the 48-year-old star shared that she wasn’t seeking love but found it when she least expected it.
“I didn’t look for it anymore; I just stopped. Then life surprised me in a way I didn’t anticipate. It feels good to be inspired again,” Geneva revealed.
Geneva described how Dean has brought positivity and inspiration into her life. After years of focusing on herself, she is now opening her heart to love.
“For four years, since 2020, I closed myself off to love. But now, I’m happier and very grateful. Dean inspires me to be better in life. He brings so much positive reinforcement,” she said.
When asked if she’s in love, Geneva smiled and admitted, “Maybe I am. I’m in love with life and with love itself. This year has given me a special gift I wasn’t expecting, and that’s love.”
Geneva also shared her admiration for Dean’s dedication as a national athlete, which adds a unique dynamic to their relationship.
“He’s a national athlete, and that’s inspiring. This Christmas feels different—I’m more inspired,” she added.
Apart from her blossoming love life, Geneva remains devoted to her role as a hands-on mother to her two children, Heaven, 27, and London, 9. Heaven is her son with former Introvoys guitarist Paco Arespacochaga, while London is her daughter with Filipino-Australian ex-partner Lee Paulsen.
