Veteran performer Gary Valenciano has confirmed that the second night of his concert, ‘Pure Energy: One More Time’, will proceed as scheduled on Sunday, December 22, at the Araneta Coliseum.
In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, Valenciano reassured his fans, saying:
“‘I will be at the Araneta today. No weapon formed against me will prosper.’”
Team Gary V extended their gratitude to ticket holders for their patience and understanding, particularly following the early conclusion of the first night of the concert due to the singer’s health concerns.
“Thank you for your prayers, especially our DEC 22 ticket buyers, for your patience and understanding,” they wrote.
“We apologize for any inconvenience during the standby for this announcement. The decision of Gary came with much prayer.”
The premature end to Valenciano’s Friday night performance stemmed from health issues that left him too weak to continue.
Angeli Pangilinan, his wife, provided updates on his condition, revealing that Valenciano experienced severe vomiting prior to the show.
“He ingested something and vomited so many times in the last two hours. He wasn’t sure he could do this concert,” Pangilinan shared. “He vomited about eight times today. But I’m here with him, and he’s just weak.”
Fans have rallied behind Valenciano on social media, offering prayers and well-wishes for his swift recovery.
The singer’s unwavering commitment to his audience and determination to perform have drawn admiration, with supporters eagerly awaiting his return to the stage for the second night of his much-anticipated concert.
Despite health setbacks, Valenciano remains steadfast in his mission to bring joy and inspiration to his fans, proving once again why he is regarded as a true icon in the music industry.
