The tandem of Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin (FranSeth) continues to rise in Philippine cinema, with Seth recently winning the Breakthrough Performance award at the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Gabi ng Parangal for their film ‘My Future You’.
Francine, one of Seth’s biggest supporters, shared her excitement and pride on Instagram, calling his win a testament to patience and perseverance.
“WHAT?!! Grateful for everything that happened this year. Tama nga, we must be patient kasi He will give it at the right time,” Francine wrote.
She thanked the FranSeth fandom, their team, and everyone who watched ‘My Future You’. “To our FranSeth family, walang sawang pagpapasalamat mula sa mga puso namin ni Yancy. Kita at ramdam namin ang pagmamahal at suporta niyo—para sa inyo ‘to.”
The actress also extended her gratitude to ABS-CBN, Star Magic, Regal Films, and director Crisanto Aquino for their unwavering support and belief in the project.
“To Yancy, I’m very proud of you! Excited akong makita pa ng ibang tao ang husay mo at ang mabuti mong puso. Masaya ako na ikaw ang kasama ko dito at sa mga susunod pa,” Francine added, addressing Seth directly.
Aside from Seth’s Breakthrough Performance award, ‘My Future You’ also won: Best Director for Crisanto Aquino, 3rd Best Picture, and Best Editing for Vanessa Ubas de Leon.
The film received eight nominations, including Best Actress and Breakthrough Performance for Francine, FPJ Memorial Award, Best Float, Best Visual Effects, Best Musical Score, and Best Screenplay.
