R&B singer Denise Julia is taking legal action against podcaster Killa Kush following a viral podcast episode featuring celebrity photographer BJ Pascual.
The podcast, which was uploaded to YouTube just before Christmas, has caused a stir after Pascual shared his “worst celebrity experience” with Denise, accusing her of being unprofessional during a collaboration.
During the episode, Killa Kush and BJ Pascual discussed their experiences with various celebrities, with BJ describing Denise’s behavior as problematic. He claimed that their project together was less than professional, contributing to his frustration. This remark led to a backlash online and ignited a controversy between Denise and the podcaster.
In response, Denise spoke out on December 25, revealing her plans to take legal action. She shared screenshots of a conversation between her manager, John, and BJ’s manager, Pearl, and posted a direct message from Killa Kush. In the message, Killa attempted to explain the context of his podcast remarks, clarifying that the show’s purpose was to be candid and not to shame anyone.
“It’s truly unfortunate to see how this all unfolded but I’ll always wish you the best. There was never a doubt you’d go far. Hope you’re still able to enjoy the holidays,” Killa wrote to Denise.
Denise’s response was direct, stating, “Thanks. I’ll see you in court (kiss mark emoji).” She added, “Assuming you’d make a TikTok out of this too, I’ll just add to the lawsuit. So thanks in advance.”
Killa remained unbothered by Denise’s response, replying with a simple, “No worries. Merry Christmas!”

The incident has generated mixed reactions from social media users. Some have questioned why Denise is suing Killa instead of BJ Pascual, who made more detailed comments about the singer in the podcast. Others noticed that the podcast episode has since been deleted from Killa Kush’s YouTube channel.
