Actor Coco Martin has once again set social media abuzz after a viral TikTok video showed him addressing Julia Montes as “nanay.”
In the video, Coco was seen presenting Julia with a bouquet of flowers following the premiere of her Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2024 entry, ‘Topakk’. The actor expressed his support for the film, describing it as “pang-international,” but it was his affectionate term for Julia that caught the attention of fans.
Fans quickly took to social media to share their thoughts and speculations about the couple’s relationship. Many believe Coco’s choice of words might hint at a more intimate connection between the two.

This isn’t the first time the rumored relationship between Coco and Julia has made headlines. In July, TV host Willie Revillame caused a stir when he seemingly confirmed during a pre-debut event, “Coco, to Julia, at sa mga anak niyo, pamilya mo, salamat Coco.”
Additionally, veteran showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin claimed in her show ‘Showbiz Now Na’ that the couple has two children. Fermin and her co-hosts also discussed Coco and Julia’s romantic trip to Italy in November 2023, where their undeniable chemistry was evident.
Known as the “CocoJuls” tandem, the duo has been romantically linked since their ABS-CBN teleserye days. While they initially denied being in a relationship, fans have noticed that the couple has become increasingly open about their bond.
‘Topakk’ is currently part of the MMFF lineup, which runs from December 25, 2024, to January 7, 2025.
