In a short video released by ABS-CBN News, Anthony issued a public apology to those affected by the controversy, including Maris and his former girlfriend, Jam Villanueva.
“Sa lahat ho ng mga nangyari noong nakaraan araw, sa lahat po ng taong nasaktan ko, especially po si Maris tsaka si Jam,” said Anthony.
He continued, “I am sorry to the two women and to everyone else affected because of me. That’s all. I’m sorry again.”
The actor’s statement lasted only 22 seconds and did not provide any additional details about the issue.
