Kapuso actor Tom Rodriguez recently shared big news with fans, revealing he’s now a father to a four-month-old son named Korben with his non-showbiz partner.
In a media conference for his upcoming movie ‘Huwag Mo ‘Kong Iwan,’ Tom opened up about the new chapter in his life, saying that his son has become his greatest source of motivation. “I have a new source of inspiration, like I said I’m a new dad of a happy, healthy baby boy. He’s four months old and he’s my constant source of inspiration right now,” he said.
Tom’s return to the big screen in ‘Huwag Mo ‘Kong Iwan,’ a romance drama where he stars alongside Rhian Ramos and JC de Vera, also marks his comeback to Philippine cinema after taking a break. Reflecting on his return, Tom shared that, while he missed acting, the challenges of the industry were less appealing. “I keep saying before na tumatanda na ‘ko. But now after this, I’m not feeling that anymore. I feel younger, more vibrant and happy,” he added, attributing his renewed energy to fatherhood.
Fatherhood has brought joy and excitement into Tom’s life, with him eagerly returning home each day to spend time with his son. He even helps with diaper changes, fully embracing his new role as a dad.

Tom, however, chose to keep his partner’s identity private, confirming only that she has no connection to the entertainment industry and has been with him for the past two years. His partner reportedly discovered Tom’s acting career only after seeing his social media.
This news follows Tom’s highly publicized separation from actress Carla Abellana, with whom he was married briefly before they decided to part ways, amid rumors of financial issues as one of the contributing factors.
Tom also shared that his son’s name, Korben, was chosen as an anagram of “broken,” symbolizing his personal journey of resilience and drawing inspiration from the Biblical story of David and his covenant with God.
