Inspired by his personal experiences, Seb poured his heart and soul into the creation of this song.
“I drew inspiration from my own experiences and past relationships,” Seb shares. “It reflects the realization that people change and that sometimes love isn’t enough to keep a connection intact. The line ‘why did it change?’ is the entire message of this song that will give you the feeling of confusion and heartbreak.”
“Dati Pa” explores the emotions of a past relationship—the longing and nostalgia that accompany the sad and happy memories. The singer’s raw and vulnerable vocals and powerful lyrics create an unforgettable listening experience.
“We wanted to try something different, something that uses more emotions rather than just vocals. GMA Playlist helped me in creating this beautiful song. Sobrang ganda ng process ng paggawa namin ng kantang ito,” he shared.
“Dati Pa,” as Seb describes,” is a “painful serenade” about a relationship that is slowly falling apart. “It’s painful, really painful. But it’s also about accepting change and moving forward. It’s so painful yet so beautiful,” he ends.
