Fans erupted with excitement at the ‘SB90s: The Streetboys Reunion Dance Concert’ as SB19’s Stell Ajero and Justin de Dios made a surprise appearance, joining the legendary Streetboys for an unforgettable dance showdown at New Frontier Theater last Friday.
The two P-pop stars impressed the crowd by performing classic Streetboys dance moves alongside group icons Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, Spencer Reyes, and Danilo Barrios. Their performance, full of energy and nostalgia, sent fans into a frenzy, cheering and applauding throughout the set.
Earlier, Vhong Navarro mentioned that while they initially invited SB19 to join as special guests, scheduling conflicts made it unlikely. However, Stell and Justin made time to attend, much to the Streetboys’ delight. After their performance, Stell and Justin congratulated the iconic dance crew, calling them “the true idols of all,” with Stell expressing his gratitude for the chance to dance alongside the group he admired. “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be on stage with the legendary Streetboys,” Stell shared, adding humorously that his parents were thrilled, saying, “tuwang-tuwa nga po ang magulang ko na nakasayaw ko kayo, nakasama ko na ang mga ninuno namin.”

The concert, lasting over two hours, was packed with nostalgic moments for fans who witnessed the Streetboys’ dynamic return to the stage, showcasing the agility and skill that made them stars in the ’90s. A particularly moving moment came when the group tearfully thanked their long-time manager and mentor, Direk Chito Roño, who has guided them for 31 years.
Another surprise guest, young entrepreneur Kryzl Jorge, the CEO of Purple Hearts, also joined the Streetboys on stage, lighting up the venue with her impressive dance skills. Kryzl shared her excitement, saying, “It was a wonderful experience. I’m so happy to share the stage with The Streetboys.” She revealed she only had three days to learn the dance medley but credited the members for their guidance and support.
The reunion concert, produced by A-Team Management under the direction of Ogie Alcasid, was a sold-out event, leaving the Streetboys overwhelmed by the fan support. “Seeing the theater packed with fans cheering and celebrating with us was incredible,” Vhong Navarro said. Jhong Hilario added, “Na shock kami na ang daming tao. Yung iyak namin kanina kasi hindi namin alam kung mauulit pa ito. Nagulat kami na naka-survive kami and walang injury.”
Among the supportive crowd were Alcasid himself, his wife Regine Velasquez, and members of the ‘It’s Showtime’ family, including Vice Ganda and Ryan Bang, who cheered on Vhong, Jhong, and the rest of the Streetboys, celebrating their remarkable reunion and the enduring legacy of the beloved dance group.
