Senator Robin Padilla and actress Bianca Manalo have publicly expressed their support for Donald Trump following his re-election as President of the United States.
Padilla, who first voiced his support for Trump during the 2016 election, shared his renewed enthusiasm on social media.
In a Facebook post, Padilla recalled Trump’s first presidential victory in 2016, where he defeated Hillary Clinton, and shared an image of a previous post showcasing his wife Mariel Rodriguez’s support for Trump. “8 taon na ang nakalilipas mula noong ikinampanya at nailuklok sa pagiging Pangulo ng Amerika si Ginoong Donald Trump. Ito po ang Naisulat ko noong Ika 13 ng nobyembre 2016,” Padilla wrote, adding that despite challenges, he continues to view Trump as a key player for world peace.
Referring to the 2020 election loss that Trump faced to current President Joe Biden, Padilla noted that he and his family were unable to participate in campaigning due to the pandemic.
Now, with Trump’s return to the White House, Padilla commented, “Only Trump can save the world from War. Yun lang po,” and encouraged his fellow Filipino-Americans to support Trump for his leadership on the global stage.
Meanwhile, actress Bianca Manalo also congratulated Trump on Instagram, sharing a photo of herself with Trump taken when she represented the Philippines in Miss Universe 2009. “Congratulations, President Donald Trump. The 47th President of the United States of America,” Manalo wrote, celebrating his victory.
Manalo’s partner, Senator Sherwin Gatchalian, joined the celebration, commenting, “Make America great again!” on her post.
