ABS-CBN hit a major milestone with the 11th season of Pinoy Big Brother (PBB), breaking viewership and rating records.
According to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People survey, the season finale, dubbed “The Big Night,” achieved unprecedented ratings and online viewership for a Kapamilya program.
On Saturday, October 26, PBB Gen11’s finale earned a 10.7 percent rating, topping the overall Saturday ratings chart. This marks the first time since ABS-CBN’s shutdown that a Kapamilya program has claimed to the number one spot on the Saturday leaderboard.
In contrast, rival show “Heart World” premiered with a 3.5 percent rating, placing it at number 13 and 7.2 percent behind PBB Gen11.
Meanwhile, in addition to its high TV ratings, PBB Gen11 also shattered online viewership records.
On Kapamilya Online Live on YouTube, The Big Night drew over 1.9 million peak live concurrent viewers—the highest for any Filipino TV program even surpassing “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’s,” record which previously peaked at over 778,000 live viewers. Combined with over 200,000 viewers on Facebook, PBB Gen11 reached a record-breaking 2.2 million live concurrent viewers, the highest ever for any Filipino content streamed online.
The season concluded with Fyang Smith crowned as the Big Winner, followed by Reyn, Kollete, and Kai as the second, third, and fourth placers, respectively.
