Orient Pearl – formed in 1993, had their career took off with the song Pagsubok. Band has been inactive for more than 20years and in april of this year, 2024, Leo Awatin (founder and lead guitarist) and Ryan Gomez (bassist), approached original members, Dexter Panlilio (keybordist), and Naldy Padilla (vocalist), both of them were not able to say yes since Dexter is now residing in Canada, while Naldy have other plans. Hence, the search for new vocalist started. 
Several vocalist fronted during bar gigs. But since most of them are also members of other band, they can’t commit to become the vocalist of Orient Pearl. The band continues their search for their frontman. After hundreds of entries were submitted and reviewed, one entry caught their attention.
To their surprise, it was Ney Dimaculangan, former frontman of 6cyclemind. They reached out to Ney for a jamming session, and just like fate, it was a “marriage made in heaven”. They recorded their first single “Hari”, with one of the top sound engineers in the music industry, angelo razul, at Love One Another studio. And the result, is just perfect.
It will be available in all digital platforms (spotify, apple music, deezer, youtube music, etc.) On November 10. The band will have their relaunched with this single and their new vocalist on November 7, 2024, at 12 Monkeys Music Hall and Pub. Promo guesting are lined up the following days and weeks.
