The country’s most awaited Halloween event, The Opulence Ball has been dazzling the public with its larger-than-life celebrations attended by the biggest names in entertainment, fashion, creative industries, sports, business, and beyond.
Manila’s party of the year
Conceptualized by creative director, host and entrepreneur, Mond Gutierrez, the Opulence Ball is his way of putting Manila on the map as a premiere party destination in Asia. After recognizing the lack of large-scale events catering to partygoers, Mond teamed up with creative director and event specialist Ashleigh Rye to bring to life a first of its kind Halloween ball in the Philippines.
Bigger and better
More is more when it comes to the Opulence Ball, which started in 2019, with its Marie Antoinette-inspired “Let Them Eat Cake” theme, a captivating showcase of luxury, beauty, with a touch of whimsy. Attended by the who’s who in Manila’s party circle, the Opulence Ball was set to be Manila’s party of the year ‘till the pandemic caused it to take a break for a while before coming back bigger and better last year with an event inspired by mythology and folklore.
Celebrities were transformed into gods and goddesses that night, fully glammed up to the amazement of the public as the preparations for the event were heavily documented and shared in the press and on social media, making it one of the most talked about events last year.
70s glam
As Halloween is just around the corner, the Opulence Ball is back and ready to dazzle everyone with “The Velvet Underground”. Taking inspiration from the glitz, glamour, and allure of the 70s – an era filled with hedonistic pursuits and individualistic expressions, this year’s Opulence Ball, challenges guests to come in the finest 70s attire, highlighting the beauty of creativity of the era.
Amping up the excitement for the much-awaited event are the country’s most-talked about personalities like Solenn Heussaff, Catriona Gray, Isabelle Daza, Marina Summers, BJ Pascual, Jason Dhakal, Nikki de Moura, Gabs Gibbs, and Christi McGarry, which were all dressed and glammed up as their 70s best in the Opulence Ball’s teaser videos and photos.
To be held at the Manila Peninsula in Makati on October 31, the public can expect to be amazed by the spectacular transformations amid a background of sheer 70s opulence to be revealed very soon.
Joining the grandest and most opulent Halloween ball in the country this year are Ploom, Belo, Don Julio, Johnnie Walker Blue Label, Jewelmer and Kiko Milano.
