Kapuso stars Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes are gearing up for their 10th wedding anniversary on December 30, sparking anticipation among fans as the couple considers a special celebration for the milestone.
Marian and Dingdong’s wedding in 2014 at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Quezon City was one of the most celebrated events in Philippine showbiz, earning them the title of Kapuso Royal Couple. Now, a decade later, the couple has hinted at plans to renew their vows.
When asked about the anniversary during a victory party for her film ‘Balota,’ Marian shared that she’s not expecting an elaborate celebration. Ikaw ba, gusto mo?’,” she explained. However, her husband, whom she describes as sentimental, seems keen on honoring the occasion.
We need to offer Him everything. Not for anyone else, but for Him,’” Marian recounted, adding that she fully supports whatever Dingdong has in mind.
The couple’s 10th anniversary comes amid the success of ‘Balota,’ a political satire thriller co-produced by GMA Entertainment Group and GMA Pictures. Directed by Kip Oebanda, the film has maintained a strong box-office presence since its release, with Marian earning her first acting award for her portrayal of Teacher Emmy, a character embroiled in a local election conflict.
Following ‘Balota’s’ success, Marian expressed her desire to pursue more indie films and tackle similarly demanding roles. The film, which debuted at the Cinemalaya film festival, has inspired her to explore diverse and challenging projects.
