The much-awaited Linya-Linya Land 2024 is set to return this November 30, bringing together an exciting mix of music, comedy, drag, and advocacies at 123 Block, Mandala Park, Mandaluyong City.
Known for celebrating creativity and collaboration, this year’s event boasts a bigger lineup and a stronger commitment to inclusivity.
During an intimate press conference at Linya-Linya’s headquarters in Quezon City, co-founder and creative director Ali Sangalang revealed that this year’s event will feature the team’s “dream performers.”
“Alam naman natin how hard it is to bring them all together and para pumayag sila. It really means a lot kasi alam din nila kung ano ang tina-try naming i-push,” said Sangalang.
This year’s highlights include Unique Salonga, who will be performing at Linya-Linya Land for the first time. Joining him onstage are OPM favorites Lola Amour, Over October, Cheats, Oh! Flamingo, KJah, Mhot, and Apoc.
For comedy enthusiasts, the event promises a historic collaboration of leading groups SPIT Manila, The KoolPals, and Comedy Manila sharing the stage for the first time.
Adding even more excitement, Tita Baby, a standout from RuPaul’s Drag Race Philippines Season 3, will headline Linya-Linya Land’s first-ever drag performance.
“And again, excited kaming magsama-sama ang iba’t-ibang klase ng performers on stage and magkaroon ng isang kakaibang experience ang mga tao na from 4 p.m. until 12 a.m. ay immersed sila sa iba’t-ibang art form,” Sangalang said.
In line with its tradition, Linya-Linya Land 2024 will spotlight several advocacy groups, including Angat Buhay Foundation, AHA! Learning Center, The Learning Lab, and PANTAY. These organizations will engage attendees through interactive booths and meaningful conversations.
“Creating space lang where they can connect with their (advocacies), siyempre hindi lang mga fans ang pupunta doon. Even influencers or artists na makikilala sila. It’s an opportunity for them to connect,” Sangalang explained.
Since its inception in 2019, Linya-Linya Land has become a staple event in Metro Manila’s cultural scene. Addressing questions about expanding to Visayas and Mindanao, Sangalang shared the team’s aspirations for the event’s future.
“Happy ako na nasu-sustain namin itong yearly thing namin and next year or for the years coming, tuloy-tuloy naman ‘yung collaboration namin sa labas ng event…So I hope na mas marami pa kaming maging collaborators sa Visayas at sa Mindanao para hopefully we can do it there,” he said.
For now, the team is working to include talents from these regions in the Manila event, ensuring wider representation and inclusivity.
