Kapamilya star Kyle Echarri has shared a strong message for aspiring actors, calling out those who enter the entertainment industry purely for fame and wealth.
In a recent one-hour live chat on ABS-CBN, Echarri expressed his disapproval of artists driven solely by these motives.
“Pinakaayaw kong attitude sa showbiz…’yong mga taong gustong maging artista para lang sa fame, para lang sa pera,” Kyle said. He explained that this mindset often leads to brief careers and emphasized the importance of having a deeper purpose. “If that’s all you’re after, you won’t last long in this industry,” he added.
Echarri, who started his career at a young age, credited his perspective to the mentors and positive influences he has had over the years. “And I learned that at a young age kasi I was surrounded by the right people. That’s one message na gusto kong sabihin sa lahat ng mga pumapasok sa industriya,” he said, acknowledging that he has witnessed several actors leave the limelight due to misplaced intentions.
Kyle’s message to those entering the industry is simple but impactful: “‘Pag na-realize mo na there’s more to this industry, there’s more to the art that we have, then being famous and being rich and all that… our goal is to be storytellers for a good reason.”
Currently, Kyle stars in ‘Pamilya Sagrado,’ a prime time teleserye that is nearing its finale, where he continues to bring a thoughtful approach to his craft.
