Tanduay Distillers Inc. has named Kim Chiu as its 2025 calendar girl, marking a new milestone in the actress’s already illustrious career.
The announcement was made during a grand launch event held at the Lucio Tan Jr. Center in Pasay City on November 20.
Kim, known for her bubbly personality and versatility as an actress, stunned the audience with her runway appearance. She donned a chic white bralette top paired with a matching skirt and knee-high heeled boots, complete with angelic wings that added a touch of glamour. Walking to the empowering tune of Lisa’s New Woman, Kim exuded confidence and elegance.
In an interview during the event, Kim shared her excitement and initial apprehension about the opportunity.
“My initial reaction, of course, [was] shocked. I asked myself if I was ready to do this. A lot of people know me since Pinoy Big Brother tapos I grew up in front of their eyes, and it’s about time na rin for me to do this.”
The actress expressed how meaningful this milestone was for her.
“I feel empowered. I feel grateful to be Tanduay Calendar Girl for 2025 kasi I feel like this is such a powerful moment for me. I believe this is a testament to how much I’ve grown and how far I’ve come not only as an artist, as an individual but most especially as a woman.”
While many would assume the role demands intense physical preparation, Kim emphasized that mental readiness was key.
“It took preparing mentally more than physically. Am I really doing this? Am I a woman now? I’m very much ready now. I’m very happy with the outcome. Sobrang worth it.”
Kim’s selection as Tanduay’s 2025 calendar girl caps off an already exceptional year. She starred in the Philippine adaptation of ‘What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim’ alongside Paulo Avelino and won the Outstanding Asian Star award at the Seoul International Drama Awards for her role in Linlang.
Kim succeeds Julia Barretto, Tanduay’s 2024 calendar girl, joining a roster of icons who have represented the brand.
